COMING EVENTS

KILLARNEY.

There will be a ceremony at the Royal Munster Fusiliers memorial in Killarney on 24 September 2009 to commemorate the men and women of Kerry who lost their lives in armed conflicts. The ceremony will be honoured by the presence of the President of Ireland, Mrs Mary Macalesse. The proceedings will commence at approximately 9pm and it is hoped that many of the ex-regimental associations will attend. The memorial itself was erected in 1903 to commemorate the men of the ‘Munsters’ who fell in both the 1st and 2nd Boer Wars.
